ToiletDuc's Amazing Mental Ability ... You can divide by zero (Remember ... with great power comes great responsibility!) 'What is your Amazing Mental Ability?' at QuizGalaxy.com |
I fixed a pot of chili this evening for dinner tomorrow. Good chili needs what it gets its name from.... chili peppers. Not just chili powder. I had picked the best assortment I could find from the grocery store, and ended up with Poblano, Anaheim, and Serrano chili peppers to use.
Made the chili, left it to simmer on the stove for a few hours, and had a few drinks in the meantime. Took it off the stove to cool off and put in the fridge for tomorrow. When I went back in to fix another drink and put the pot in the fridge, I remembered that I still had a few things left to clean up. Namely, the cutting board and knife I had used to cut up the peppers. Got things cleaned up, fixed another drink, and headed back to my room to vegetate in front of the computer until time to go to bed.
Shortly after sitting down, I did what comes natural to most guys when by themselves, or in the company of other like-minded guys in an informal setting: a thorough scratch and adjustment of that which differentiates us from the female half of the species.
A few moments later, I realized that I hadn't washed my hands after handling the knife and cutting board I had been cutting the peppers with.
After proceeding to the bathroom and leaning over the sink for a thorough washing and dousing with cold water, the problem had subsided to a warm feeling and mild tingle in my drawers.
Sapphire's suggestion of immersing the affected parts in a glass of milk was unnecessary at that point, and I'm pretty sure was purely for her own amusement and to see if I'd actually do it.
We've all seen things that were said, written, or things given names that were done with good intentions, but just came out with meanings far from that which was intended.
This is yet another tragic story of such an occurrence.
A few hours away from where I live lies a fairly small town named Piketon, Ohio. As with most towns, Piketon has a public school system. Also as with many towns, said public school system is named after the town. And yet again, like so many others, said public school system has a football team. Again, unsurprisingly, the Jr. High and High School both have football teams. However, Piketon Middle School's football team, the Red Streaks, is the victim of one of those names that just weren't thought about enough. While at first glance, the name seems innocent enough, one has to remember that quite often, the names of schools are abbreviated.
This gives us the PMS Red Streaks.
I'm afraid to know what their mascot is.
Actually, I asked, but noone's seen him for nearly a month. I was told he should be back soon though.
I did, however, manage to get tickets to their next game, although I had to pull some strings.
