Dammit. I missed the deadline because I was reading stuff on VR again. My boss is gonna have my head on a pike for this! Damn!
DAMN YOU, INTERNET!
*shakes a fist at the server*
Oh well. Tomorrow's another day.

I have to admit there is a convenience brought to us by their exploitation of 3rd world countries and mammoth fiscal impact that can crush enterprises like a pesky roach on a hardwood floor...
But this IS the end result. Drawn like moths to the bright lights and false promises of the lowest prices anywhere (there is always a balance - no one enterprise is the lowest on everything - profits need to be made somewhere), people... all people.. flock to WalMart.
The benefit to me - if I ever want to simply observe the trainwreck that is humanity, WalMart is a one-stop shop. Aside from a few odd times I've needed to go there for commerce purposes, I really have absolutely no desire to spend a dime with that company.
Im with you man, I f-ing hate Walmart..theyre lworse than Microsoft..
I go there all the time so I can get 'one-stop shopping'. If I don't, I'll have to go to 2 or 3 stores instead. I also get name brand food items there cheaper. But, I too, hate it. And it's because of those damned check-out lines as well.
And not to knock everyone that works there, but it;s rare I get really good service from an employee. In my experience they avoid contact at all cost and when I do ask a question it seems like a chore. It really grates me as I worked for the best in the customer service industry (Disney). I worked at Disneyland, then years later went to management training at Disney in Orlando. I'm one of those people that's read a lot and applied customer service like an art- so I am oftentimes let down by everyone else.
Yep, I only go there out of necessity. Instead of making two or three different stops for the things I needed, I calculated that one stop at Wallyworld -- even with delays -- would be faster & less stressful.
I gotta re-check my math next time.
OMG! I so hear that!
When I was in the States I bugged a friend to take me to Wal-Mart just so I could say I had been. Sad, I know. For what it's worth, it's pretty much the same on this side of the pond, too.
I rarely go. Perhaps once a year. If I need something from there, I order it online. I HATE it. I have no idea how they are run effeciently.
I would much rather pay an extra dollar and go to one of the millions of walgreens on every corner and be in and out of there.
Why, it sounds like my supermarket trolley rage syndrome could make itself right at home there!
I'm not as fond of walfart since they ripped out their sewing sections, and destroyed their artsy fartsy sections. But I do still go there because I can pay 5 to 8 bucks less for their generic brand cat litter, and its just as good as the expensive stuff.
Besides the fact that seeing the people that frequent walfart is a definite self esteem boost.
I know, right?
I have never seen so many grown adults wearing Crocs. Holy fucking hell.
The people at your Wal-Mart wear shoes?
You lost your shit in a line at Wal Mart, huh? GOOD lol.
I cant stand going there either, but like you said...it's the one stop shop for like...everything. I cant stand the fact that when I go now days, EVERYTHING I buy, and I do mean everything, breaks or I gotta return it. It's gettin' old. I should hit up a Target instead...*giggles*
Sadly, and by that one word I also draw emphases on the word 'embarrassingly' I am the bloke who will have more items than allowed when going through an express till.
I am unable to help myself. I see that it clearly states ten items or less and I will go armed with fifteen or more items lol. Sorry Thoth!
I hate you.
(just kidding)

I share your pain, I do this all the time. Only it's usually game related stuff, not VR stuff. Oh the temptation! I am weak of will!!!
