Though coarse and callous youth I was
without a light to guide my heart
I mind those years, and mourn their loss
for Lady dear mine light thou art
I see no other stood before
nor like as not shall see again
Thy mind and person, therein's the draw
and so I tell thee in this strain
I doubt that parting,, even long
might dull this fondness in my breast
see please dear Lady, there burns a feeling strong
not lust, nor fleeting fancy soon laid to rest
I say this here, for no place else I might
That though you think,t'will fade, I doubt you're right
for I have eyes for no else you see
to think on any, for I tis true, it is to think of thee.
