Tonight, Jadee and I Tea bagged one another. She smells of Vanilla Chai, and I also smell of Chai, and other tea.

That's your revenge then? Silent treatment, a nice entry asking men who are already disgusting pigs who've continued to hit on you throughout our relationship let alone past ones you've had. Way to get the answer you want.

I keep certain thoughts and worries to myself. Otherwise, any topic is open discussion. Though I always find myself going back to those I keep away from others. Talked about it before, no one really cares, no one else really understands. You won't, because its not your poor choices, not your living past. It doesn't stare you down in the mirror, or keep you up at night. Doesn't require something mind numbing to distract because no amount of discussion will ever take away how much it eats at my spirit. Reminding me that my life will not be normal, nor fair, nor just. I've ruined much, learned much, but am still shackled every moment I draw breath to a day I've paid for in blood, in bruises, in time, in a numerous futures I know I can never have. Would it be more enticing? Would it be worth while to post and take a side for the time only to jump fence when I no longer care enough to make it mud rumble head bashing brawl? Then would anyone with a smidgen of gusto and intelligence say anything. Even if its your disagreement I can respect that. Though when it seems to be a subject that matters to me, something that could be philosophical, life enriching, thought provoking, nothing is said. Perhaps its been done to death and I didn't realize it. Though I find the willingness to be smug and make quips at the short ones while always avoiding any semblance of personal investment in the serious ones quite sad. Just an observation.

After a short discussion with the lady about the opinion of what constitutes Goth. Double checked my info, and this is what I know is goth as was defined long before people had to define behavior, style, and music that seems to be now true to what the Romans would define the long dead true Goths, and Vandals.



Origins of the term "Goth"



The name "goth" originally came from a Germanic tribe (ie the Goths). The Romans regarded them as barbaric and uncultured, much like the Vandals. "Gothic" was later applied to a style of medieval architecture by critics who regarded it as similarly barbaric and uncultured (something similar happened with the term "Vandal"). The term was later applied to a late 18th/early 19th century style of literature which had a fascination with death and the supernatural.



Its amazing the things I find similar to those and the ones who claim today. Uncultured, feeling Entitled, and act intelligent and refined to ones face but have no problem being barbaric, backstabbing and exceedingly deceptive when ones back is turned.



As for the Victorian age. I do recall it being one of sexual repression, where a good quote of a queen to her daughter on her wedding night was thus. "Lay on your back, and think of England." That was how sexually repressed The Victorian age was. Though somehow we transfer their style of clothing to some of the sluttiest, distasteful garb I've seen since punk. It seems people are taking a page from Palin and redefining things that have better words to define them already.



That's my take on it, my opinion. Frankly If this is truly a vampire website anymore people revel in the worst qualities of barbarism and rarely act on the eons of Culture that would come from lifetimes of knowledge and experience one would acquire if one were to act Civilized.

The "modern" idea of Goth is so off base from the origin it's frightening. I could go on and on about this topic but I think we covered it at home heh.
