I've bitten the hand that feeds me, but never hard enough to draw blood.
I've considered rebuilding some bridges, but I'd sooner believe in someone's remorse and forgive them if they were willing to walk on the water to get back to me.
Be it anywhere. In a book, a significant other, within a song, or just simply in seeking peace in our own thoughts. Many of us fight a constant battle everyday, be it internally, externally, or in extreme cases, both. Human nature often takes us for everything we are, and then some while we fight to overcome our personal vices, or the hateful actions of the others around us. Foreboding intentions are forefront, and we become careless with those who we love. We even become careless with the one's who can and will seek to destroy us. We become arrogant in fear, or insane in grief. To survive, one must smile even if it tortures a scar-covered face. One must let go of what they cannot change, even if they feel like everything is directly their fault. And most importantly, one must forgive. But please, make it a habit to never forget, as you invite the negativity back in when you delete the cause, which then deletes the solution you've fought desperately to find.
