A Surprise At 4 a.m.

Wasn't feeling too well last evening, so I hit the bed about 7:30 or 8 pm.

I got up at the usual time to head on out to work in the wee hours of the morning. Myst gets up as I'm about to hit the door, heads to the porch to grab that early morning smoke. She also has this bad habit of wanting to see me out the door.

She asks "Did you check your IM this morning?" I look at her surprised, then do so. I have "Check the oven N take with you."

(Myst and I have been on IM and the phone for almost two years daily)

Now you have to remember, I'm not used to any of this attention. I proceed to the oven, and to my surprise, there is a mini loaf of banana bread.

That's the first time in probably twenty years, anyone has done something like that for me.

Just goes to confirm how incredible I know Baby Girl always was.

So glad to have you here Baby Girl. Love You Too!

A Long Week Ahead

It's going to be a very long week. Yet? I've waited almost two years for this.

I must finish cleaning the house. Painting the kitchen. Getting everything in order. Don't want to disappoint her when she walks in the door for the first time.

Early flight to the East Coast on Sunday 12/16, then a 1200 mile drive back to home in a 24 foot truck, with a trailer towing her vehicle.

I'll have company on my trip back though, and hopefully? For the rest of my life.

And it's all thanks to VR. Yup. Without VR? I'd never met her.
