My Dad is a bit of a poet, and wrote this in tribute to Japan. He wanted me to forward it on to my email friends list but because i don't email I'm doing it through facebook and VR instead.
So here it is, if you like it enough to forward it on, please do so. But please leave credit where it is due. This is not my work, not is it yours.
It's almost time for dawn
The sun seems slow to rise
You ache from head to toe
Tears still in your eyes
You hold the crimson sky
The ocean calm and blue
You dare not look around
For gone, is what you knew
There's nowhere left to shelter
Your world has washed away
While the ground still moves below you
You stand there in dismay
The noises still surround
With your life so torn apart
But the hardest sound to hear
Is the breaking of your heart
But know the world is watching
To help you all the way
Our hands will not be empty
And our hearts will hold your sway
Proud you are, a people
So dignified and true
A soul bourne in tradition
Our hearts go out to you.
