That is really fucking wrong. How can they even think to do that to our military members. They have enough courage to go and fight overseas and even give up their lives for their country. And to hear this it is an outrage. To have their own country to turn their back on the one thing that keeps them safe while they sleep in a comfy bed every night safe from harm. It is all because of the people that are willing to fight for their freedom and their rights. To keep their family and friends safe. That is so fucked up they can do that.

Wherever you live, its always the same thing, the army & its members are only good to fight, whenever they are ordered to do so, but when no wars are to be fought, they are not acknowleged. Saving on the budget for the military will only hurt the soldiers. A friend of mine works for the chaplaincy & a while back a soldier who came back from Iraq needed to talk to someone, but nobody was available, thanks to the budget, because project after project gets cancelled. But I presume that the members of the elected houses are paid always and get all their benefits? A good thing to keep in thought, when there is an election again.

They ended up paying up cause the government didn't shutdown, but we were all pissed because they were expecting us to do our jobs with out pay if they were going to in a time of war.
