I am so sick of calling doctors offices. I have an appointment to see my orthopedic doctor today. I just can't seem to get a referral for an ear, nose, and throat doctor. I guess its good I stopped choking on blood. This is ridiculous. It doesn't look like today will be a good day.
Yesterday was interesting. Went to see my neice for prom. She was gorgeous, she is growing up so quickly, makes me feel old. We got home & were just relaxing, when suddenly I felt like I was strangled on something. I coughed a few times, no big deal. I still couldn't get it to feel clear. I stepped out on the porch to talk to hubby, I coughed again, and this time I spit on the ground. It was nothing but blood. We rushed to the local hospital, by this time I have spit out about a half a cup of blood. By the time they get me back to a room, it has slacked off. They do an x-ray and run blood work. They can't find anything wrong. We have a very small hospital with pretty much no specialist of any kind. They tell me to return if it starts back but that I might want to follow up with an Ear Nose and Throat specialist. It happened off and on last night, but not as bad. At 7 this morning, I woke up choking again, a mouth full of blood. I really didn't see much point in going back to the hospital. By the time they get me back it will have stopped on it's on again anyways. I have no clue what is going on. Hopefully I can get in touch with my family doctor tomorrow and find out something, or at least what to do. I'm concerned that I will get strangled in my sleep again like I did this morning. No idea what to do. Oh well my head is killing me...Hopefully it will all work itself out.
37 hours with no power. So glad it's finally back on. That was one horrible storm. Time to start cleanning out the fridge and throwing stuff away.
Took baby girl back to the doctor a few days ago. The doctor was surprised how quickly she is healing. She just kept repeating "I can't believe it's only been a week" The doctor says there is no need to come back. I am so glad that is over with. I hope the scar will be minimal, but it looks like there may be a small scar. She is still healing, so it's hard to tell.
Been busy playing games on facebook all morning. I really should be cleaning, but I'm just not feeling it today. Maybe my mood will pick up a bit later in the day.
I still haven't come up with any ideas for a mother's day gift for my mom. No clue what to get her. I got the mother in law covered. I made a picture for her. I just need to find a really great frame, but at least I know what to get her.
Oh well, I'm a bit bored now. Off to play with my little one.
My baby girl had surgery last week to remove the cyst on her eyebrow. They said it's very common, but I have never known a child that had one. Which that was the same thing they said about the torticollis, which I had never heard of that either. Anyways, surgey went well, she had a big black eye. It's healing quite well and she doesn't even seem to notice it. I'm hoping for minimal scaring. We go back to the eye doctor later this week.
My right arm is a bit better after the shot, but still not great. I believe I need to do a shot in my left as well. My original complaint was both arms, but they seemed to focus on the right because it was the worst.
I tried to add a bit of info to my profile, but really don't have the time to go all through it like I need to do.

Torticollis is fairly common and the reason I know is because I worked with developmentally disabled children and twins. Twins often get that. Cysts are common too, they didn't lie to you. Kids can get them at various stages. I don't know about someone so young but around puberty sometimes this happens. My son got a large cyst on his chest. They said it was hormonal changes. Usually they wait to see if they go away because they are generally benign types of things but if they stay large, interfer with something biological in nature or are cosmetically challenging they remove them.
I know how you feel, one of my daughters had strabismus from birth and she had short tight muscles that required an operation. Exercises don't help because she didn't have a lazy eye type of thing. I had a harder time going through it than my daughter.
It's funny you mentioned twins. Her cyst was a Dermoid cyst which continues to grow and can sometimes contain hair, bone, teeth, eyes, etc. I'm not sure if they will tell us what was actually inside hers though. My sister has been picking on me, saying that it sounds like she ate her twin. She got over the torticollis, but it was stressful, she had to go see a physical therapist twice a week and we had to do exercises at home. Eventually it seemed to work, & we can't find any more signs of it.
Sorry to hear about you having to go through struggles with your daughter as well. It is hard to watch things happen to them that is completely out of our control.. Thanks so much for your comment.
