Just a personal rant- anyone else live in a super boring area? There is no goth scene where I live, a limited artistic community, and the only music scene is really terrible old cowboy cover bands. Everything is countryfied and rustic. A good share of the people are narrow minded and boring, and against anything new in the arts. And there are 5-10 churches per town. I should add, the town's around me range from 2000- 5000 people. I can not wait to move somewhere more progressive and fun!
Just feel like gushing, I'm going to my first renaissance festival next month! There is nothing fun like that where I live. Nothing but country music and rednecks everywhere you look. So we're driving 3 1/2 hours away to do something fun!
I need new reading material! I generally stick to fantasy/ horror. I've read Frankenstein, Dracula, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Picture of Dorian Grey, the House of Night series, Twilight saga, Brother's Grimm Fairytales, and a few other's that aren't immediately coming to mind. Any suggestions for a good vampire /creature story? I will read from any time period, they don't have to be new. Thank you for your input!
