So many people are quick to jump to opinions on lifestyles based on this holy book that I thought at least maybe people might appreciate being able to examine it. It's similar in many ways to other holy scripture a person might read with certain notable exceptions: The Holy Quran is the first set of scriptures that granted women "rights". I'm not saying that things are always practised as they are written (which is always something that has confused me about the definition of "fundamentalism": but I digress.) I think maybe its important that people read these things for themselves and make up their own minds.

A fantastic read by Mrs. Southworth. This was written when "proper" women didn't write: certainly not suspense and mystery! This is a short book and well written. Some of the language usage is periodic and a bit hard to follow at first, but otherwise it is a great story that draws a reader in from start to finish. It's one of my favorite fiction stories. Enjoy.
