I love to read, and will pretty much read anything that crosses my path: from Reader's Digest's to the occasional Highlight's childrens magazine while waiting in someone's office for something or other. It's difficult for me to pinpoint a favorite genre, but I really enjoy fantasy stories like the Harry Potter series if they are well written. That being said, I just got my hands on 'The Bartimaeus Trilogy' by Jonathan Stroud. I'm not sure how I missed it; it's excellent. The series is as fully constructed as Rowling's series, but darker. I think I almost like it better. I'm glad to be reading it even though it is keeping me up nights.
