We have comedy night once a month at my night job. I have seniority so I get to actually watch the show instead of babysitting sound. Last night a guy....I haven't laughed so hard in a really long time. Here is a sample of Matt Jenkin's act:



"So, it's confusing to be a kid...who to look up to, who to think of as a role model or a hero....



I was tending my brother's kids the other day, and let me tell you, you haven't lived until you have seen a fight between Jesus and Batman. And I mean, these kids started going for it...beating the crap out of each other!



So, I called my brother, and I was like:"what do I do? Your kids are beating the hell out of each other?" And he answered, "well put the fear of God into them."



I...what? I had no idea how to do that...so I looked around the house and found a bible and just beat the living shit out of those kids with the bible, and was just yelling the whole time "this isn't me....this is GOD beating your ass" Now they dont like god any more, they're scared of him and think he's a prick."





"My car is a piece of shit. It's broken down six times this month. So, the last time I took it to the mechanic he said I need to be nicer to my car...that I should treat it like my baby. So I took my car to my ex-girlfriends house and abandoned it."

I see people all the time discussing that they are studying or somehow really getting an education by spending time on VR. I had no idea that it really could pay off, silly me. This should help those of you who are on a magical job search;you learn something new everyday I guess.

I'm not much of a bitcher and I see no real need to start now, but I'm confused about something:



Is it still a law that children go to school?



Seriously, between spelling, grammar, and the level of generalized knowledge I see here and elsewhere... I'm...confused. I mean, I see pictures of kids at schools and I see the occasional school bus, but I am finding little evidence to support what people my age would consider to be a basic education. It's disturbing.

I get my contingent of weird mail here, just like a number of other people. So I get a little message from a newer member who is asking me "why all us dominars" do this and that to peoples accounts and threads etc. and so forth.



I did of course explain that "us" were all different people with all types of individual thoughts and opinions, etc. AND, I think I threw her off the trail; little does she know we are an elite pantavern set to take over the planet. And I most certainly did not show her this picture of the VR control room.







Thought an update would be reassuring.

I'm a slave to the capitalist grind, I admit it. If we live in the land of capitalism, I might as well be the best at it that I can be. I pre-ordered my copy of Harry Potter today, to be delivered on the release date, even though I know what its going to be about.







Not only do I know the plot, I can most likely take a good guess at the outcome. I know its the last book so there will plenty of time to read it. I know some fuckface is going to post a spoiler on the internet, cleverly titled, so that I stumble upon it and then am irresistably drawn to read it. I know it will be available for half of what I am paying for it the day after its release.



I know all of this, but I am still going to do it. It's so decadent.
