The sun shines all day, people are busy with their work.
In the twilight commuters return home for food and rest.
Energy is spent and folks soon sleep to recharge.
Then the realm of dreams comes alive.
Sleepers dream of dragons and their atavistic power.
Theirs is the world of teeth, claws, scales and fire.
Some dragons are tame and allow dreamers to climb upon their backs and fly.
Others of the great beasts are wild and leave dreamers to their own affairs.
The intelligent creatures are perceptive and know when times are tough and challenging.
Some step in to share their power and help human visitors to restore their conscious energy.
Not all nights are the same as the daytime tasks at hand require creative force and free thought.
The dragons reflect the feelings of the sleeping masses and make themselves available to those who would interact with them.
Do you dream of dragons?
I dream of them frequently and have become accustomed to their support.
The requirements of the day take energy, sleep is a rejuvenating time.
The mythic beasts flap their wings in the shadows of the unconscious mind.
The dragons wait for us there and are strengthened by our thoughts of them.
They will be there for us, as we sleep in the night.
