And then, someone who apparently knows NOTHING about said suicidal EMO brat, comes at me with accusations of failing in my moral responsibilities, as if I might somehow be to blame, were this 'child' to go and harm themselves, all because their plea for help was closed down on VR.

Oh, please, don't lay the guilt at my doorstep! I cannot bear the sin of turning my head away from the needy, the vulnerable!

Ok, I feel that is sufficient to make the point clear.

VR and those who work it, aren't guardian to the membership at large. Sure, there are friends and groups of friends, there could even be said to be support structures, but, consider that less than twenty four hours after receivng this berating condescension, I was presented with a second message, this time from the suicide case...

In it, was an apology from the member, for allowing someone else (yuh, ok), to access their account and post such a desperate message.

It just goes to show how some who claim to be 'elders' and 'responsible', are actually too busy being lured by their own reflection, to see through the bullshit.

There are two modes of thought on this-



That they are symbolic of God's will upon the earth, so by biblical standards, if vampires are Nephilim descended, then it may be an object which is revulsed.



Another is from the Dracula story, where his turning against God, made the crucifix a reviled icon of his hate.



In both cases, I would feel that the repulsion is psychological.



I don't think that it would burn a vampire if one touched it, but that they would, in the two theories above, refuse to touch it from choice.
