I have live my life so far hiding in the shadows and keeping the truth of myself from all but a select few. This has been a choice, made to keep myself safe. Now I am older and understand my standing in the world better. I shall Hide no more. So now I shall tell you all what my life until this point has been....
My Awakening
I was born a frail and sickly creature, I was not meant to be it would seem. However I lived on, in and out of hospitals for the first three years of my life, the doctors said severe Asthma and poor immune system. So my life up until that point was sheltered and keep from anything that would make me worse. My mothers mistake however good her intentions were.
At the age of four she could no long keep me from leaving the house, I just found a way. I kept getting out and getting sick, so I was just allowed to go out. The doctors said it was for the best, I stayed sick from this. Always needing medicine, always needing to take care of how long I stayed active. So much for one little child, but I continued until one day at the age of six I got my first real taste of blood.
It was a late evening, midsummer, climbing in the tree in the front yard as usual for me and my younger brother. In it I found an injured squirrel, not sure how it got hurt but it was. It went berserk and attack my brother, cutting him open on his arm fairly good, then vanishing on the roof of house. The moment the fresh scent of blood hit the air my eyes flared all I could was stare at the ruby colored liquid that ran down his arm. I helped him down and got it on my hands, once he was in side and our mother was bandaging him up I was in the other room gazing long and hard at the blood on me. I had seen my own blood more then once, but someone else, it was new and the smell was inviting so I tasted and found myself cleaning hands off with my tongue, the moment touch my tongue I was lost in it. Day later most of my illness was gone, I felt better then ever. I was running faster and longer, had more strength then before. I was awakened, and knew I had to have more, it was more of animal like instinct for more, my body craved it. So when ever I got the chance to get blood from others I did, biking someone would crash, get hurt and bleed, I was the first to help. I always use care to not waste what I could get from them and always to make sure no one knew I was doing it. By the age of eight the doctors said I was almost fully over my illness and they found this shocking, but the truth is that the blood was the reason.....
