So a resident wants to be hard and tough...saying "I aint fraid of the new staff"....
Resident was on a watch and was in my grouping...I said not to close the door. The resident began to mouth off but then let out a fart ....we both looked at each other and just busted out laughing.
All that hardness and toughness went out into the stinky wind.
LMAO
Lesson learned .... Farts are great for breaking the ice.
My brother is 16 yrs old. He recently trusted me with the most fragile information...He is gay. He said he is gay and proud, he wants the world to know. But he is scared at the same time. I told him "I love you unconditionally and I am here for you." as I silently cried being honored that he felt comfortable enough to come to me and open up. He went on to tell me how he is afraid of telling our mother and his father. He reassured me that he does not get bullied that he has a good friends that are his support group. All I could do was reassure him that I am here for him no matter what and that I was proud of him. He has called me almost every day since then. Which if you knew my family history...is a miracle.
Any who...I found a few webpages that speak on this topic...coming out to your parents. So for those whom may read my journal that are struggling with coming out, here are a few sites that may help you.
