It is almost three thirty in the morning. At 2am the fire alarm went off and our block had to clear out of our flats. Almost immediately we were told we could go back in but the alarms were too loud. However, they were excellent for inducing headaches.
James and I braved the skull-shattering noise to make hot chocolate for everyone else before going outside once more. We were then told that the alarms couldn't be turned off but someone was coming from the City campus to sort it out. The only problem is that it was going to take an hour for the person to arrive as our campus is so far from the others.
After lasting as long as we could, Kirsty, James and I went to security and they said they they were having to go around all the flats to check the alarms because they didn't know where the fire box was. Thankfully we had noticed the bloody great box with flashing lights and the word 'fire' on it in the flat below us so we were able to point it out and they switched it off.
