of all the things that occured that day, to the instantaneous change in my tendancies, to the meeting ppl i shoulda known already, to the amazing (and in lordi's case, not amazing) bands my friends and i saw that day, one thing stands out right now more than most: i moved like they do in the matrix to deflect, stop, and catch Saud, empty bottles, and other trash from hitting not only myself and friends, but all random strangers around me. and i still managed to be watching lamb of god while doing so. just a movie my ass.......
:)
in the winter of 2007, i went to valhalla hall (aka sheets & sons music) to see the band of former wwe diva lita, aka amy dumas. they sounded better live than on myspace (surprise!) and aside form amy sounding alot like brody dalle at some points (which is a good thing) they put forth a real amount of energy, which always makes shows more enjoyable. after the majority of the concert-goers had left, about twenty or so people stuck around, for various reasons, and i ended up playing around on this alvarez that looked better than it sounded, and myself and a few friends were singing along to creep by radiohead. amy and jay, and moments later, shane and troy all ended up standing nearby singing along as well. that was one of the coolest things i've been a part of that i didn't realize the coolness of when it was happening. and my only regret is that i was playing that alvarez instead of my own.
later that night, after the luchagors had left, my friend murphy, who weighs around 360 lbs, put on a bikini top that was randomely found at the hall. that, ladies and gentlemen, is what we have here in my nowhereville usa that makes me wanna stay.
