Well... How many times do we wish we had said sorry, or even just said our peace? Plenty, if you're anything like me, and if you're like me, its so much easier to avoid these situations rather than do the right thing in the hope that they will cease to exist in our heads, making life oh so easy.
Yesterday, I got that chance. A wise old owl had a conversation with me about Karma and I had the sudden realisation that I had an apology to make. For years I had put that difficult confrontation off, deluding myself that I could live the rest of my life with unfinished business.
Did my difficult confrontation go well? Pah, it did not. It went almost exactly as I imagined it might, but, I did it. I made the first move - I wasn't a pushover and I didn't lose my temper, I simply said my peace and waited for the other person to respond and they did with venom.
Have I done the right thing? Yep. I really have. I can rest easy, knowing that when the time comes, I will not drown crossing that River of Life.

Karma indeed.
I have recently done the same, and had the same result. It was worth it though because in the end it's over, and we did the best we could.

It’s not about having the apology accepted, it’s about accepting that one needs to make an apology
The result being that the right thing is done!
