Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
Matthew 2:1-2
While the magi who visited the young Jesus have made their way into our Christmas lore, we actually have very little information as to their identity. The Bible tells us very briefly that they came, they worshiped, and they went away just as quietly as they entered the biblical record.
To be quite honest we don’t really know how many there were, though tradition tells us three. We don’t know where they were from except that it was from somewhere in the East. And, though they’re sometimes referred to as kings, The Bible never tells us that either!
But if we read the Scriptures along with some ancient historical records, we can know something about these mysterious magi. In the ancient world, these men represented a priestly caste of the Medes and the Persians. They were philosophers and in all likelihood Zoroastrianism and were well-versed in astronomy and astrology.
These men had little to do with Christ, yet God reached them even in though their beliefs where vastly different from God truth. And just like those magi, God can often meet us in the strangest places. So wherever you are today, Whatever your belief is. Keep and open mind about God. If you’re open to Him, He’ll reveal Himself to you!
OPEN YOURSELF TO GOD WHERE YOU ARE AND LET HIM REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU IN YOUR LIFE!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
John 3:16-17
That's a pretty famous passage, almost everyone has heard of it, But people have heard it so many times that they tend to disregard it. Come on, admit it. you read the first couple of words. realized what it was. and scrolled down to here.
The funny part is that it's also the misquoted verse in the bible. without looking up at the passage. try to repeat it. especially that first part. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish..." did you get it right? are you sure? read it again closely
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him SHOULD not perish.." Did you say should or shall? most people. even devote Christians get it wrong. But what a difference it makes though.
There are so many so called Christians who think their salvation is locked up and safe never realizing that it can be put in jeopardy by themselves by not following God's word
That's the real reason for the coming of Christ. To save AND to teach.
Our Lord experienced so much hardship by coming into the world. But He knew it was worth it, to rescue us from the dominion of darkness and teach us a much better way of life.
JESUS CAME BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US. TO TEACH US HOW TO LIVE WITH ONE ANOTHER, AND WITH OURSELVES.
Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:8
Sadly, most people haven't a clue or completely miss the meaning of Christmas. Even those who put up Christmas trees and even nativity scenes, can’t tell you what Christmas is really about.
That’s why, as Christians, we have the sacred obligation this time of year to let people know what – or really who – Christmas is all about. Now, there are many well-intentioned people today who fight tooth and nail against the secularization of Christmas. But we need to stop and make sure we’re fighting for the right things.
So how do we do this? Well, it begins with love, not harsh words. I’m talking about a love that provokes us to action by helping those hurting and feeding the hungry. We can’t just say we believe in Christmas. We have to show it!
With so much commercialization and overspending going on right now, stop and think. Ask yourself what it might look like to share the love of Christ with someone this season. That’s how you show the meaning of Christmas – by showing the same love Christ shows us each day!
KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS THIS SEASON BY SHOWING GOD’S LOVE TO THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST!

Thank you for this. That's why I volunteer and give back to those who can't have it. Just being there for people and animals. Family and friends. Granted I do this all year round. But this time of year I see people more prone to depression because of the holidays. I make sure some of my positivity is shared among strangers. You made my month! Thankyuthankyuthankyu!!!
