I hear the rain falling.
The wind whispers your name
I imagine your kisses are as gentle as the falling rain.
I close my eyes and listen
It’s like I can hear you breathe
My eyes stay closed and I feel you standing next to me.
Wrap your arms around me
Please, baby, don’t let go
Let’s get lost in this forever as the rain continues to flow
I know you’re always with me
No matter where I happen to go
I always feel you deep down into my very soul
These moments will last forever, baby
They will be our moments frozen in time
You’re as perfect as the falling rain and I know you’re all mine
Even as I open my eyes
The feeling doesn’t fade
Even though were miles away, I know deep down we’re both watching the rain.

I started to write a story
On pages crisp and clear
The pen fitted into my hand
Blotting the ink so it didn’t smear
I let the words flow
They began to tell a story
They painted an image
Bright and beautiful in all their glory
The words spoke of wonder
It was a place that I wish I could be
I kept writing and writing
The words just kept flowing freely from me
Just before the ending
The pen felt different in my hand
The tip scratched the page
And nothing more was added to my beautiful worded land
It seems the moment ran out
And that’s when the ink began to dry
There was nothing left to do
I felt a tear pool in the corner of my eye
The story was never finished
The pages long since filed away
Maybe in time a new story will come
Maybe, hopefully I'll finish my beautfully worded land some day.

My body is just tired I can’t even breathe

Let me go and give me the rest I need
I’ll be okay without you
I’ve always been just fine
Just leave me here on the path
We’ll meet another time.
