I've found the fundamental problem to this sham:
I am far more charming when not giving a damn,
I'll find a better refuge than this, what was.
There's this blurred out place that I run to ad nauseam,
Where meaning crafts it's own medium
And the vegan swoons and strums her cat gut violin.
There is no up or down in this sea of shades of gray.
And "nebulous conceits" is all I ever seem to say
These days, because that's all I ever seem to see anymore.
I can't look straight on with the doubts I've sewn,
And this reverb won't find a place of its own.
It's crowding me here, urging me further down the line.
Perhaps there's a point somewhere beyond the horizon,
A concept adjacent to the one that everyone relies on.
Only, to get there I'll have to slough off this anxious stillness.
But wallowing in lethargy feels so damn good,
Along side swathing myself in the luxurious misery of "should".
I'll cycle through this this time too, right?
Right?

I guess it's time to spruce this old thing back up. Here's a little shoulder shimmy to shake up the lethargy dust and muss the long stagnant halo of apathy clinging to this place about my frame. Oh, 50 cent words and empty florid phrases, I've missed you so...
