The hunger eats away at me as I lay in my coffin. Unable to go to sleep from hunger and yet unable to hunt because of being overtired. Such a cruel prank this life pulls on me. The pain carves me from the inside out. I feel my insides falling away. The pain forms into a solid, unbreakable bubble, wanting to burst, but unable to until satisfied. A roar rises in my throat and yet never comes out. My eyes are shut and I can't make them open so my eyeballs start to panic, moving back and forth rapidly. My chest feels paralyzed and I now can't breathe, feeling something weigh on me. My body starts to convulse and I bang at the lid and call for my servant to let me out. And finally, I awake. I slowly open the lid of my coffin and step out calmly. The hunt of the night has begun.
I am laying in my coffin with the one I have made. He sleeps silently, never stirring. The coffin is dark and cool, protecting us from the sun. It is located beneath a window so when we wake up we can just turn our heads to see the night. I am awake because of a nightmare that had chased me out of my sleep, but he is peaceful. I smile and think of how fun it will be to teach him all that I know. I take my left hand and place my thumb in the middle of his forehead and trail it down to the tip of his nose. His calmness helps me fall into sleep.
The dream was foggy. I was cladded in all black and leather with bright red crinkled hair pulled back in a ponytail. Throwing knives and daggers adorned my sides. Yet I was at school, working out calculus. I finished up my work and headed out into the hall way. Just a then, monster that seemed to be composed of black sludge came up the main staircase. I severed its head and then started to escort students and teachers outside of the building all the while mutilating the sludge demons. Then I just walked away and went home.
