Life has been a very busy mad house around here for a couple of weeks. I did manage to get with VW & birdie over the weekend for a wonderful break then it's back to nutsville. It's one of those if it can go wrong it will weeks. I spent much of Monday looking for a piece to fix a dryer finally ordering it and picking it up on Tuesday.

It's affected the kids too as they're either bouncing off the walls or whining and I'm not sure which is worse. lol

Had some work on my pc waiting for me to finish it (yep this idiot had not saved it) and overnight an update reset my laptop and now it's gone. :(

Right now I've got the 2nd of about 8 loads of laundry in the wash and waiting on the dryer to get the first done. I've not had much time at all to spend here and I've missed my friends.

If the pretty weather sticks around this weekend the girls and I are getting outside for a nature break. *crosses fingers*

Sitting here waiting for the SEConference basketball tournament to start at 1300, UK vs Alabama ought to be a fun game to watch, I know lots of folks who have headed down to Nashville where it's being held so in some ways the town is quiet today. Yep it's that big a deal here.

Took Adam to the therapists this morning and he did good in his therapy and the specialist at Cinn Children's hospital was very pleased with their reports on his progress and with how well he's speaking just one year later.

Came back home to find a message from my doctor's office needing to reschedule an apt I have for tomorrow to remove a knot in my thumb (no I'm not looking forward to it) So I'm waiting for his office to reopen after lunch to re-schedule it and then hear from a friend that he's being sued. lol Knowing how things work around here though I want to hear a lot more before I buy into it.

The painful thing is I've damaged my ribcage on the right side from the coughing and it's just getting worse not better :( I was going to talk to him about it tomorrow too now will have to wait a bit longer.

In the meantime there's a big storm headed right for us with ping pong sided hail which is bad but after the softball sized (and bigger) a few years ago just isn't quite as scary.

Got a question for you

Tell me please is the phrase "over yonder" not used anywhere but in the area I live in? Is it a Southern US Hillbilly term only?

This is a very common phrase used such as "let's grab one of those seats over yonder"

Several times over the years my friends and I or as in yesterday my sister and I were among strangers and as we spoke to each other used this phrase and sure enough someone popped up hey you are from southern Ky right?

Well yes we are but do I listen to your speech and say Hey you're a Yankee, ain't you? lol

I'm just blowing off steam, my accent gives me away no matter what I say but the phrase "over yonder" sure seems to strike a lot of folks as telling.
