The kids opened their gifts last night since their dad could come for visitation then and wanted to see them too so we let them open all but their stockings which we saved for this morning.
VW came over and took pictures as the mayhem took over the house and we had an awfully good time. My niece made all the inappropriate faces she could think of and Rat caught them all... blackmail is such an ugly word! lol Nope the future is bright :)
Adam enjoyed his first real Christmas as far as being able to open his own presents and understand what was going on. He's 7 this year but made some great progress in catching up to more normal behavior this year so it was such fun to watch him enjoy ripping into those wrappings then wait for the next one to rip it up too.
Had a couple of stopping points when he got a really wanted present but he moved on without too much fuss to the next possibility. lol
Got more friends coming in for dinner tonight which we've decided to keep pretty simple for a change. I don't want to spend the whole day cooking for a 20 minute meal and miss out on spending fun time with my family and friends.
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and all your wishes come true :)
For everyone struggling in these hard times, this song really says it all.
