Some things sure can be aggravating. I wear an insulin pump which I love the convenience and how much better I feel using it. But it's not the most convenient thing to wear for me. It's about the size and weight of a pager and has a 23mm tube that leads from the pump to my infusion point. So obviously it needs to stay with me always, but I also need access to the buttons and screen on it.
Now the problem is like many others, I do not wear a belt, I don't like them, never did. My pants stay up just fine without one so it's just annoying to fool with one. But when I tried to find a clip or method of attaching it more securely than just tucking it into my bra (which is not the coolest place for it or all that comfortable wearing or reaching in for the pump to see the screen)
I contacted the company I bought my pump from to see what they had available and spent 25 bucks on a small water resistant sports pack that was supposed to clip onto a belt loop, the only other option is a bra pouch that you have to sew velcro onto your bra for it to work. Now I don't know about you but I don't wear the same bra every day and at 13 bucks apiece plus getting them sewn in is plain silly.
The case came yesterday and I checked it out, first off while I ordered the right size it simply does not fit my pump at all and instead of clipping on it has a slide on clip to go over a (you guessed it) belt!
So I called the company back awhile ago to arrange to return it and I made sure they knew it wasn't listed correctly on their website and that it does not fit my series of pump (which they plan to take up with the manufacturer) No problem with returning it but then we talked about what else they might have to suit me.
Nothing at all. All the cases slide over belts and the bra pouch still leaves me with having to go fishing for the pump in public down my shirt if I cannot find a private room. With an upcoming trip to Disneyworld not so much private rooms available in the parks. They offer leg bands, waist bands and arm bands and all in the lovely "one size fits all" which since they aim those at the athletic types mean no way in hell it'll fit a fat chick. The employee I spoke with agreed with me and we enjoyed a laugh. He sent me a shipping label to return the one I had and asked if he could do anything to help me.... yep please tell your bosses that we ain't all skinny women and need more options that going fishing down our bra's for our pumps.

I like scented Candles
Those are wonderful candles, I like to light candles around my townhome. Thank you, I put that in my favorites.
Thinks are so darn crazy around here that I am not sure if I'm coming or going half the time. But yipee school starts tomorrow so it ought to slow down a little bit. My new bed was delivered yesterday and set up, it has an adjustable frame and tempur pedic mattress and slept great last night. First time I've spent a whole night in bed willingly in years. And I woke up able to breath and without a headache. woo hoo! My brother is visiting this week, aka my landlord too and has a lot of work to get done on the house, the front doors need replacing so it's a big mess too. But I'm hoping things level off so I can relax a bit more I sure miss the days when I could spend hours here just playing. lol

What is so special about this bed? It sounds marvellous!
It's the tempur pedic mattress that's amazingly comfortable and on the adjustable frame that raises my upper body so I can breathe better. :) I'm tickled pink.
I never could get comfy on those types of bed, but I know some rant and rave about it. Glad to hear that you can finally get a good night's sleep :)
Im coming to your house!!
Wicked bed, I want one!
I am glad somethings are better. :)

hope things level off around the house with the kids in school now and with the visit of your brother. School started yesterday for my sons and its gonna be a fun year. You know everything else lol.... hugs glad you got a decent nights sleep
I'm so ready for school to start and this summer to end. It's too darn hot for one thing and there's little fun to be had in this type of heat since I have no shade around my home, means too much time inside where we get on each other's nerves easily. Have had a lot going on last couple of months but it should start slowing down some soon. I've not got to spend nearly enough time here and I can feel it in how uptight I've been, yep VR relaxes me.
Yesterday we took my nephew up to Cinn Childrens hospital to see his Austism specialist and it was the first real trip in my new Equinox. Drove great and was very comfortable. Parked and went to the visit and about 1 hour later we decided to head back south into KY to find a bite of lunch. Was in 6 lanes of heavy traffic when I saw a warning light show up in my dash and I had no ideal what it was about so my sister grabbed the manual and looked it up and it was a Tire pressure warning indicator that was warning a tire was going down. Yep it's a new car but on our trip north we ran into a big wreck blocking I75 and I talked to a friend at the police post who warned me it'd be blocked for 2+ hours so like many others there I hit the median and turned around to get off at the last exit and take US25 North. So I was worried I might have damaged the tire on a hidden hazard or something. But we got off the interstate and visually checked the tires and everything appeared fine and the gauge said the tire pressures were all fine. So we headed on home but I had to slow down since I wasn't sure of the tires. I took it to the shop today and they told me they were sure it was a bad sensor and now I've got an apt to get it fixed next week. But it won't hurt to drive with it so no worries.
I was hoping to go with Rat and Birdie this weekend on the ghost hunting trip but I'm going tomorrow to a surprise birthday party for my Aunt Eva, she's turning 80 and I have to admit part of me wonders just how good an ideal a surprise party at that age is but then knowing her she'll have a great laugh from it. But that's going to eat up sat afternoon and then Sunday I'm driving over to Bowling Green to meet my brother and bring him home so he can pick up a vehicle he left here on his last trip home.
I think the worst thing about being this busy is not getting to do as much of the things I really want to do :(

My friend's mom has the same problem. She can't wear the pump, actually because with her work, it keeps falling off anyway or getting broken. So she sticks with those nifty little pens. I think they're pretty cool. Then again, I'm not the one sticking myself 3-5 times a day. :D

Take a picture of it so I know what it looks like. Maybe I can come up with something that will help you? Its worth a try at least. Or maybe send me a link showing me what it looks like?

Really manufacturers should be more considerate I think.. It's very rarely that I find a pocket in a pair of ladies business trousers! It irritates the hell out of me! Consideration manufactures please!

You're right Emmy, they just don't seem to care about real life applications.
