What does one do when democracy fails? Surely it wouldn't be to do it again. Once that system breaks, you cannot trust it again...at least under that currently leadership.

I have seen it happen so many times throughout my existence that I truly believe that humans are insane.
After all the all too familar saying of the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Curiously it is similar to the wheel that is life and death. At this point it has become a part of the ritual of life.

One of the problems with society is that it is too big for its own good, too many humans with too many needs and views that clash with one another.
A strong singular leader is needed to restabilize when democracy has failed but once the new regime is in place, it may re-establish democracy, usually with mixed results but eventually the circle continues.

Sometimes a dictator is needed because at least they can keep things in check with an iron fist but they are always demonized by other countries. Depending on who you are and where you are, it may or may not be a good thing but look at what happens when a successful revolution takes place, and the dictator deposed, two things usually happens: The new regime takes control and will eventually become just like the old regime one way or another.

Or...chaos and civil war happens.

What would be better is not trying to rule the entire world, simply divide a country up into states and kingdoms with their own rulers. Sure, there are greater chances of war (which is not a bad thing considering the population count) and their respective kingdoms would be more managable.

Rome is a good example of when a empire becomes too big for its own good. It's fall began on the inside.
