She lays in(on) the white, (is the word white really necessary?) snowy, forest floor. Covered in her own blood. She has a tiny, pixie 5,1” frame, with black hair like a raven’s feather, and bright green eyes. The last thing she can remember is being followed and attacked after escaping from somewhere. Then just when she thought they wouldn’t stop until she was dead, then all of a sudden, the attackers stopped their assault and (seemed to) vanished into thin air. They left her there cold and alone. She feels like the tiniest of animals. The reason as to why they stopped and how they just vanished was completely unknown to her.
Now as she lays here freezing(frozen)down to the very marrow of her bones, she tries to sit up. She cannot muster enough strength to perform the task. She knows that she needs to assess her surroundings in order to figure out what she should (could) do next. Moving in the slightest brought her the most excruciating pain she has ever felt in her life. After deciding to give up, at least for the time being, she lays there being as still as she possibly can. She looked up at the light blue sky, mixed with grey as small snowflakes began to descend upon her. At that moment, her head began to grow fuzzy. Sinking into the empty, blackness of unconsciousness, she slept.
Hours later, when she awoke, the once bright sky, is now pitch black. There was not a single start in the sky. None that she could see anyways. It only took about five minutes to be able to slight see in the dark. Knowing that she can’t move, she lays as still as she can. Her body temperature is dropping slowly. At this point she is shaking terribly from the cold, not to mention that she had probably lost quite a bit of blood during the attack. Now she is cursing to herself for getting into this situation in the first place, as well as not being able to remember how it had happened.
Determination kicked in heavily. She decided to utilize what little energy she had left to find out exactly where she was and how she was going to seek help or even find a shelter for that matter. Her senses were on full alert. She started to hear what sounded like someone walking through the snow. Were they moving towards her? She did not care if they were at all dangerous. As long as it was indeed a human rather than a hungry animal, she would be ok, right? Completely aware of her situation, she grew desperate maybe even a bit frantic. If they lived close by, they would have a home, and would take her in, hopefully.
