If we really believe that ORBS (little balls of light caught on digital cameras) are some kind of intelligent energy, perhaps discarnate humans, our loving pets who have passed into spirit, and/or aliens peering at us through portal windows.... then we should follow through on this belief and start to try to communicate with them.
HOW, you say? I'd imagine it would be the same way you communicate with your higher self in meditation, with the whales or dolphins when you swim with them, or even your living pets on a daily basis. You can start casually, like you do with your cat when it gives you a (not so) subliminal message to let it go outside - you say "Do you want to go outside?" and of course she says "Meow," which means "Yes, please." or "What took you so long?" Or the (not so) gentle nudge your dog gives you when he wants to be fed - "Do you want some dinner?" (wag, wag, wag) Our pets have an advantage over orbs though, because we can see them with our naked eye.
This is an orb next to a cedar tree:
Orbs can be seen just floating around by some people, and sometimes if you watch over the top of the camera, you'll see sparkles in the flash. I've seen them zoom by through the camera lens when shooting video. James Gilliland at ECETI Ranch has videos on his website where you can see them flying around in the dark (http://www.eceti.org).
Our friend Sofia would sometimes see bright flashes in the foreground, which she would call fairies, in fact a photo of one such fairy was her last post to Planetary Place. I caught one once, and then I thought I saw another once, but it turned out to be a cricket.
Here's a fairy I saw as the flash happened:
and here is a cricket:
here is one of Sofia's fairies:
So, once you shoot a couple shots into the dark night with the flash on, and determine if there are any orbs to communicate with, settle yourself into a comfortable place and quiet your mind. This works very well at the beach, in the forest, in the garden, at cemeteries, or any other dark place you feel safe. Visualize the lovely colorful balls of energy swirling around in the night, coming close to you, swirling up into the sky and coming back. Start your communication with a question such as "dear orbs of light, do you have anything to share with me?" Then sit and listen to what comes to your mind.
As in all meditational communications, you may notice something you don't expect. It may come in flashes of images, one or two words planted in your mind, or it may come waltzing in with full sentences. Be prepared to write down your experiences as you hone your skills. Once you feel you are done for the night, try taking a few more photos. When I've done this the orbs have multiplied, like they are drawn like a moth to the flame. "Talk to Me!" they say. If it doesn't work right away, keep trying, as practice makes perfect. Be sure to share any of your orb communications with the rest of us, to encourage our own explorations.

Here's my friend Cynthia, that you all knew as Sofia. She was beautiful inside as well as out.
COMMENTS
She really was beautiful inside and out and I am honoured to have called her my friend.
RIP Cynthia.
so sad. I hope she is at peace now :(
oh wow, I am so sorry to hear that, may she rest in peace...
She was such a beautiful lady ,I'm sure she's putting all the angel to shame. I'll miss her a lot.

Yesterday? She was chatting with me in the Vamp Box last night.
aww. That's sad! I thought she was great :(
I'm going to miss her she was always so nice ,I can't believe she's gone.
Imagesinwords-do you know what time that was? I was on til around 9pm Hawaii time and she wasn't around. We were in chat on Wednesday night, and I saw you then.
It was late, Lullaby and TheArtistRose were there. I was talking about how I didn't think we were in any danger of the world ending and stuff.
I think you are about 6 hours behind us here on the mainland.
The world is crazy these days, but this isn't news. Let's see, in just a few months Bin Laden was (supposedly) killed, and now Obama is going to make a movie about it to be released a month before next year's election. What a hero, huh? Then, the same Seal Team 6 who pulled off that stunt, is killed... hmmm.. I wonder if they were telling people it wasn't really true.... YA THINK?? And now, they said "We got the guy who shot the RPG." Let me think, it was NIGHTTIME, everyone on board WAS KILLED, so how the heck did they know who "the guy" was?
In the middle of this of course, was the Norway massacre. That guy who is thrilled with himself for bringing so much attention to his cause - he's a hero too (in his circles), and he didn't even have to martyr himself to do it. He gets his day in court to spew more of his elitist, racial garbage.
Right now, in the Aloha State, there's a 24 hour (and counting) stand-off, with hostages, on Maui. Some idiot with his ZIP CODE tattooed on the front of his neck, has forced a whole neighborhood out of their homes because he's shooting randomly out windows. He committed some heinous crime more than a year ago, and it's taken this long to find him apparently.
So anyway, strange days indeed.
Aloha!
Here are some orbs that visited me a couple of nights ago. The one on the left has a well defined face.
Here's my first attempt at photographing the energy I can send. See my fingers to the left.
Here's the second. In this one I have my hands on both sides of the camera lens, sending energy from one hand to the other. Notice the cute little orb buddy in the upper right. It's my spirit friend.

wow that's really cool!!!
Thank you! It's a lot of fun to see what I've been "feeling" all along.
i bet it is. ^_^
awesome photo .... isnt it fun to fly light with your mind ...tesla would be envious
It truly is awesome. I'm glad I finally have a name for it. It's been burning my hands up for years.
I learned:
1. I cannot do it all, or I'll continue hurting myself.
2. There are people who would do me harm if given half a chance.
3. I have protection from other dimensions.
4. My cat can eat a gecko and leave a crime scene worthy of the killer he is.
5. Ants are attracted to what he threw up afterwards.
Who you is? Why you lie? Get real or get lost!
I know I'm almost as old as dirt, and I've been online for 21 fucking years (yeah, 1990, seriously). So I've seen pretty much everything that can be done, been there and done that, more than once. But it still disappoints me when people aren't confident enough in who they are to be straight with me.
Everyone has gifts to offer, tales to tell and something to share, so buck up, put on your big girl panties and be present.
Aloha.

Makes me wonder what you are talking about? Can I have a clue? I haven't been online that long but had my first computer in 1989. I just wrote stuff on it and played a few games. I didn't attempt the net until the later 90s with WebTV and then a PC. Had both for awhile and then just the pc. I just get frustrated with all the dang upgrades all the time.
Someone I thought was my attempting to be a friend tried to make me believe he was something he was not. He's young though, so he'll learn from it. :-)

What always trips me out is the odd faces you'll sometimes get in them like the one you have in Sofia's fairy. I have taken pics where an out of place black mass showed up that I couldn't find a source for to say it was "just" a shadow, I put one on a computer program where I could lighten it and in the black mass was a black n gray orb with a face in it that I have seen in dreams, it was very feline ish... trippy.

Orbs are always trippy to look at. The interesting thing is that you really need a pretty cheap camera to photograph them well. A lot of the newer ones manage to look through them or something. The one I took by the tree was an old camera I had, and I've since upgraded and I don't get the detail I used to. I used to see a colorful wheel with pretty much the same characteristics every time (as well as others). I'll post some of those pictures another time. Thanks for your comments. :-)
