Obviously these excerpts came from the section of the Vampire Rave manual regarding the society system. This website is unique in that it has groups/private forums for people to join, like any other site, however what makes it unique is how people join/become members of these groups (covens/houses). You gain membership through a process of induction which more often than not, is forced, is something the member has no choice in. While this is true, that the site operates on a system of forced inductions...people do choose which coven or house they want to join by contacting the master of the house and arranging the induction or arranging the trade. More often than not the people arranging to become a member of a specific society is doing so because that society is mastered by a friend of theirs. Typically the people arranging their membership into that specific society are society masters, on an alternate account, and can induct themselves into their own coven and then proceed to trade themselves to the society of their choosing. I'm definitely guilty of this...I typically induct my lower level profiles upon reaching the level of induction and send them where I want them to go. I've recently been thinking that that's not in keeping with the spirit of this site, the spirit of the vampire. I've been thinking that maybe I might level this profile to exasperator, level twenty (the level of induction), and allow the first coven master, assistant coven master, or trades master that gets to this profile to proceed with a forced induction. This would mean no conversing, or arranging with a specific coven. This would mean not inducting this profile myself into my own coven, and then trading myself else where. This would mean leveling my profile and just allowing whatever happens to happen. I've always been hesitant to do this because there are a good number of societies that just don't appeal to me. I might do this though, I mean it's not like anything says that I have to be active on this profile if I don't like the coven that grabs me up. So...yeah, I think I'm going to do this...just to sort of vibe with the intentions of the site, and the system of forced inductions.

But...who knows how long it'll take me to reach level twenty? I typically don't use this profile....

Heck, I might not do this at all.
