Lullaby for Charlemagne
Fate has been cruel,
Order unkind,
And my dear brother,
Has been turned blind.
Flame from my breast,
And starlight be swift.
Carry my lullaby,
And may this curse someday lift.
From two demons,
I was born.
With a crown made of blood.
To wear and adorn.
From an angel you came,
My father was yours.
Your crown made of thorns,
From legends of yore.
So black was my coat,
I was like the darkest of ponds.
My eyes like silver,
Ours was the strongest of bonds.
So white was your coat,
Like rays of the moon.
Your eyes like blood,
Our time will come soon.
Flame from my breast,
And starlight be swift.
Carry my lullaby,
And may this curse someday lift.
Bred for evil,
I stole and I lied.
I hurt many people,
The truth hidden by pride.
You did not respond,
To fathers evil wishes.
You were good you were kind,
You stole our mothers kisses.
Like the pond I was,
I only mirrored your light.
It was dim and dull,
It would never have your might.
Now the angel,
The one who sired your light,
Had stolen you away from me.
He has stolen you from my sight.
Flame from my breast,
And starlight be swift.
Carry my lullaby,
And may this curse someday lift.
I hope to find you now,
I wait mourning for dawn.
I will hunt him down.
I will kill him like a fawn.
Rest for now,
My brother dear.
Find peace my light,
In this song so clear.
Goodnight my brother,
I love you so.
I'm sorry I couldn't see,
Your pureness like snow.
Flame from my breast,
And starlight be swift.
Carry my lullaby,
And may this curse someday lift.
(Charlemagne is a character from one of my MANY fan fictions. I made this poem for him from his brother, Odysseus.)
One last time with you.
Before you leave me for good.
You me and the stars.
The cirque comes tonight.
Acrobats candy and clowns.
Morning joy awaits.
Death Wing comes in smoke.
Hidden from view he kills quick.
Hot and burning death.
The Geisha
The geisha is a beauty indeed.
Her fan poised gracefully in hand,
Hides her delicate features,
But leaves her eyes open to the world.
