Let me start this off by saying that as a partially gay man it’s fairly hard to find a companion of the same sex. I often have to settle for women, no offense ladies it’s just that some times I find the company of other men simply more appealing. This isn’t to say that women do not interest me it’s just that being with women for so long makes it a tad difficult for me to enjoy woman much anymore. Now back onto topic. So as I said it’s fairly hard to find another interesting male who is attracted to other males, so when I find another person who I fancy it makes it all the more sweeter to be with them. I will spend years with this other person as I am a man who enjoys a monogamist lifeforbidden, time from time. So the other night at the local tavern I sat with a few new acquaintances, sharing a few drinks, having some laughs, you know a regular mundane night so I thought. After taking drink orders from my group I made my way to the bar, that is when I noticed I was being watched. My eyes instantly gravitated to a younger dark haired fellow who sat at the end of the bar drinking what I believe to have been Marlow perhaps. After a few eyes scans and smirks traded back and forth he made his way to me. The man was utterly gorgeous, amazing fashion sense, and his scent was to die for so instantly I was attracted. He introduced himself as, David and we shook hands, with a little bit of light finger grazing at the end. After talking for awhile he paid me and my friends tab and followed me to another table to talk more privately. He told me his interests then went on to tell me he was a ceo of some large company I had really no interest in. We conversed back and forth for some time before getting onto the topic of Kindred. He told me that he wasn’t like me, which was a disappointment but then he told me he was more animal in his nature. This caused more intrigue as I have never personally been with an other kin before. So I proceeded to ask him questions, he told me he was a wolf and explained how it all worked, keeping my full attention mind you this is not easy. Then he asked me what it was like to be a vampire and proceeded to ask me about blood drinking and all the fun things about being what I am. By the end of this conversation the bar was closing and my friends were heading out for a ‘snack’. I told him that I needed to go with them as I had driven that night and was rather thirsty myself, so we exchanged cards and proceed on our own ways. We’ve spoken a few times since then, he has offered to take me on a date in the city and I agreed of course. The best part is he knows I am a fan of the arts and for our date he will be taking me to the Opera then to dinner. Oh be still my little undead heart. How he woos me so. I hope this one will last. Wish me luck darlings. Until next time, Eternally Marius.

The Careless

I was going to do a brief introduction into my journal but decided that, we might as well dive right in as they say. So no soaking the feet, yes?

It had been a week since I had talked to my 'friends'. Curious as to why we haven't spoken I decided to return to our favorite places. I walked through the old grave yard during the night many times with no such luck of a single glance from those who stalked the shadows. My friends were nowhere in sight and so I went about my way to search a few more places. The local bar we often spent our nights siting at and discussing the politics of man was booming as I entered it. Various different children spoke in loud tones as they strutted about the places while a few Elders I knew sat quietly in the corner watching the young fledglings. Thinking that my friends would have to be here on such a night I searched them out but with no luck or trace of them in sight. That's when I was stopped by a young man who pointed me in the direction of the Elders. As much as I enjoy spending time with them, their has always been a little, space between us as I do not see eye to eye on all their doings and often would voice my opinion, which mind you was some times unwanted. None the less I made my way past the young bodies and to their table. Giving them a bow and asking them How they were on this find night, in which they greeted me kindly a shared a few stories from the evening. After they were finished they came out and told me to stop searching for my friends. Asking them why they proceeded to tell me that an incident had occurred and sadly they were removed from the domain, sent packing to a few towns over were they could be watched. Upon hearing this I began to question further which caused one Elder we will call him, Tod, to stand up and tell me to be silent upon this, that is was taken care of and that I should find better suited company. It was soon after this that I left the bar and headed home as I couldn't help but grow angry being told to butt out when it came to men and women I consider family. I'm still slightly stressed from it all, mainly because I am not allowed to speak with them until they are granted to return. I do not know what I will do with my time now. I guess I'll spend my evenings at home reading, maybe go to a few outings and find entertainment, who knows. The loneliness is already suffocating me and I fear it will only get worse. Why must I always trust the wild ones?
