Ever hear that saying about bringing a knife to a gunfight? sure you might get a bullet in the eye but it takes real balls to do something like that....or a lack of bullets, the point is that guns have destroyed skill and chivalry.



Swords can not just be swung around, it takes years and years of skill and having the right speed, agility and strength to wield a sword properly but with a gun, little skill is required as you just aim and pull the trigger, its true that some practice is required but nothing compared to what you need to masterfully use a sword.



In my opinion guns are for cowards and swords are for true warriors, due to the amount skill and strength needed plus having to fight close quarters. knights were famous for using swords and having an honour and chivalry system which started disappearing once guns came around and perhaps even before then.



Today swords are just ceremonial with rarely or none used in combat at all.



another reason why this world needs to be reborn, so humanity can start using their natural strengths instead of relying on gun technology.
