There have been some recent events that simply tickle me pink with laughter. Children these days, newcomers to the Community who don't seem to understand their stance in the Vampyric Community. I've given seven proud years to my Community; seven years of education, self exploration, and due respect to the Elders who have dedicated personal time and energy to the advancement of our Kin.
I too have dedicated my own time and effort to teach others who seek education, while allowing myself to be an attentive student. One cannot hope to be a teacher without first being a student as well as accepting the fact that no matter their rank, they shall continue to be a student; without continuous progress we stagnate.
I am Calmae, I take pride in my achievement as I have earned it. I did not appear from obscurity without any prior knowledge of the Community to declare myself above anyone. Keeping an Elder's bed warm did not elevate me to my rank, unlike some little girls out there who ride their lover's coattails.
The fact that anyone with such a nature would have the audacity to expect respect is laughable. Respect is earned, not wrapped and presented as a Bedpost Notch Gift. I don't remember the last time being a painted Maypole was considered a major achievement in life, but apparently some females do.
Long story short: If your ass has only been in the Vampyric Community since breakfast this morning, mind your tone. Take your slice of Humble Pie and sit in the corner with a book until you really get your hands dirty and have some years under the belt, not months to one year in the sack.
