Actually, there are a few ways for people to give themselves VR honor, and it's not that hard to figure out. You can always rely on the ones who employ manipulative tactics to be the ones who feel the need to do this, usually in attempt to "prove" they are or are not the owner of a profile in question.

Once by IP an account is considered "yours", you cannot give your accounts honor. IP addresses control what account is associated to you, and that's a lasting association. Even if you only log in on that IP once it is still associated to you.
