It is unreal the way my heart sings in your presence.
Unreal the way I yearn for you when you are gone.
Unreal the sense of longing I feel when waiting for you.
Unreal the pure joy I’ve waited for for so long.
I lay awake, lost and lonely
Whenever you are not here.
The recollection of your voice
Isn’t quite enough to bring you near.
Still I imagine,
Deep within the night,
That your arms are around me,
Holding me tight.
Still I imagine
The taste of your kiss,
Wondering what it would feel like
To be swept into bliss.
As I walk along through the snow,
I wish for your warmth, your comfort.
And maybe as we walked together,
We’d bury the pain and hurt.
I wish for more than friendship,
But for now friends is all we can be.
Rest assured, I will not give up, though.
Your heart will in time belong to me.
I’ve waited so long for someone like you
And I refuse to let my chance slip away.
So I try with all my might to appeal to you,
To beg and plead that you stay.
Because unreal is this feeling inside me.
Unreal is the hope that I cling to.
Unreal is the dream I so desire to reach.
Unreal is the way I love you.
As the snow falls,
I watch the world.
Untold secrets
Lie enfolded
Among the hearts of
Many and millions.
Mine are but tiny,
But hurt just the same.
As the snow falls,
I watch with sadness.
My eyes fill with crystals.
How long will this last?
A heartache unknown,
But not new to me.
I beg and I plead,
Just let me be.
Full of sunshine
And hope it seems.
But no one knows
The truth inside me.
Lonely and desolate,
No way to escape.
I'm forever doomed
To this pain I can't escape.
Everyday I live behind a smile,
No one ever guessing.
But inside I lie to even myself.
My thoughts are always pressing
Upon my mind, but I shut them out,
Bade them no return.
But they find there way back to me
And my heart begins to burn.
Alone inside, destiny claims me
As a loner, not one of the pack.
I look up to God, even as faithful as I am,
And ask him what I lack.
Company, two or three, is all I ever need.
But sometimes the desire to feel more important
Becomes my greatest plea.
I sit on the floor
And wait for the door to open.
No one dares even to touch the knob,
So my misery goes unbroken.
I paint on the concrete, a sun of pure gold
And a world full of love
Down below.
I place myself inside it,
Pretend I am it's equal.
But then reality slaps me in the face.
I cannot write a sequel.
The tears fall down and create the rain
That gives my little world life.
But never am I to wander among it,
Never will I behold such a sight.
I fake a sweet smile as I admire you
And you stare back at me but do not see.
At night I sleep alone and happy
And let the darkness steal me.
I may awake and fool you all
With this smile upon my face.
Heck, even my own heart deceives me
As I walk among this place.
Day after day, I feel alight
With falsehoods and false chances at dreams.
But sometimes the door opens to show me
What I'll never capture in my schemes.
As the snow falls,
I watch the world.
My own secrets
I've never told.
The tears have come again, unbade
And this heartache surely consumes.
I gaze through a glass door, so pretty and vibrant,
Only to realize its without me the world resumes.
Free,
Free like a bird,
Free like the sea.
A fairy’s midnight dream
Beneath the twilight’s gleam.
Her dress crocheted from white swan’s feathers,
Sewn so intricately together.
Her hair sweeping about her shoulders,
Her eyes like blue fire begin to smolder.
Her legs carry her round and round
As she spins gracefully without a sound.
Ribboned ballet shoes, baby blue,
Her innocence can’t help but captivate you.
Her skin is pale, like a delicate pink rose,
From her slightly flushed cheeks to the tips of her toes.
A smile beckons to watchers unknown,
But she calls to only you, you know.
Stare, you may,
Desiring the chance to play,
To lay a claim to a heart of silver
And to let your own heart shimmer
In the desire that you feel.
You ask yourself, is this real?
So now you stare in agony
As you watch her dance in fantasy.
What are you waiting for?
She beckons you more and more.
She stops,
You wait.
She stands in your wake,
Watching you through admiring eyes.
Oh what could she see in you to despise?
Her lips part company with their partner
As she gazes at you in wonder.
Will you kiss her?
Will you touch her?
Or will you just sit and ponder,
Your heart growing fonder and fonder.
You’ve lost a sense in time
As she looks you in the eye.
She glides closer and you do not notice.
You heart is yet remiss.
She has come, you can’t turn her away.
She promises to stay another day.
Kiss me, she begs,
But the words she’ll never say.
Strong is her will, but weak is her heart.
As she watches you, she falls apart.
No more of this waiting game.
She will steal your love with rain.
She glides into your arms
And you’re lured by her charms.
As her lips touch yours,
She feels loneliness no more.
You can’t resist those thoughts within your head
As her white dress turns to red.
