Somewhere in the distance i hear the haunting melodious tune She plays so often in the solitude of the piano room. Chills run down my spine as i follow the tune down the narrow hallway the wooden boards creaking beneath my barren feet. Gooseflesh blankets my porcelain skin, i become aware of my accelerated heartbeat and slightly labored breathing. The air thickens with anticipation , my tongue feels heavy like a leaded weight. The grandfather clock strikes midnight as i approach the door to the piano room. "Will my services be needed tonight"? The playing abruptly stops before i can even rap lightly on the door. The silence adds to my anticipation.
After a few moments i hear Her clear her throat before telling me to enter.
My eyes remain lowered to the freshy waxed floor and i step forward. She beckons to Her left indicating for me to join Her.
