mistakes

For all the time I have spent trying to become a better man, I find that there is alot of truth in as a friend today said to me, living in the moment...

It is simple really. To live in the past means to miss what is before you, and that which is there could be beautiful. To live in the future, the same thing...

As for mistake, well we all make them, our lives are all shaped by them, and if we live in them we will loose out on what that mistake could have taught us, and how it should of helped us grow and become a better piece of humanity.

As I now sit here and prepare to jot down some thoughts, I am grateful for a new friend... Having therefore spoken as such, do so enjoy the wanderings of my inner mind...

Silence, my mind struggles for words to express the tumultuous whir lings. To make sense of the now disjointed thoughts that race on as if they were fireflies dancing in the still humid night...

To grasp and hold them for only a moment, for enlightenment, understanding and freedom...

Though should I truly desire to capture that which is ethereal at best? To try to understand the thing that continues to push me on through my days? What the would become of me should I catch just one of those illusive little fireflies? Would it's light then go out? Would it be gone, as so many other things have gone before???

The answer is yours!

I often hear people talk about their lives, their failures and their accomplishments. I've noticed that most people tend to dwell on the failures, the things that went wrong, rather than the accomplishments, the things that went right. I am no saint, I have at times done the same thing. It's part of the world we live in, to be judged for how we've succeeded and failed, but that doesn't mean it's the right way to live.

It's okay to look at our mistakes, because that's how we learn, but if we look only at the mistakes, then we aren't learning anything, we are simply repeating the same things over and over. We start living a life that is completely negative, and if we continue to live that way, we become a negative, a mistake, and we don't realize what we've done until we hit rock bottom and don't see a clear way to save ourselves.

By the same token, only looking at our accomplishments leaves us always thirsting for more, we are never satisfied, nothing is good enough, and in the end, we face the possibility of being just as empty, just as mistaken, as those who only think in the negative. Our lives has also ceased to have meaning, if not to us, then to everyone around us.

Life is a succession of moments, all tied together, all based on the choices we have made. Failure to see these moments, to enjoy them, to live them, takes away their meaning, and ours. Live each failure, each accomplishment, take it for what it is and move on to the next moment, stop dwelling on past failures and accomplishments, because it's how we deal with these things that really makes us who we are.

Live each day for it's self, and for us. Find the peace and beauty that surrounds us and revel in it. Smile. Laugh. Cry. Rejoice. Learn. Feel the rhythm of the world around us, and become part of it. Understand our place in life, and do the best we can to fulfill that place. We each do have a place, even though it can sometimes take a lifetime to realize what that place is.

We are all here, we are all alive, some are happy, some are sad, but we are all here, together. Every day holds the potential to be the greatest day ever, simply because we are alive. So many miss this little thing, they feel that living means accomplishments, being better than everyone else, rather than just being alive, and being the best that they themselves can be.

Personally, I live for the moments, because they make life worth it. My life has meaning because it does, not because of any thing, or things, that I've done. My life has meaning in spite of the things I have and haven't done.

I change the world simply because I am in it, everyone does, and because of that, everyone's life has meaning, everything we do changes the world. So rather than ponder what could have been, and what might be constantly, live your life, and live it out loud.

All things are possible if we believe. Nothing is possible if we don't. Our lives have meaning, so live that life, out loud

So what if it's the end of the world or not? So what if we're here tomorrow or gone in a week? For all we know, we could be gone in a day, in a week, a month, or a year. For all we know, we could stay here for several hundred years till the sun combusts. Until then, how are we going to make the best of life?
