I just finished You Can Run But You Can't Hide by Duane "Dog" Chapman. I have to say that his life story is one wild ride but is inspirational at the least. This is a man who went from nothing to everything by his own hand. No one handed him all that he has, it was his own work that got him where he is today. A&E took him off the air because he made a racist comment, and I think it's complete bullshit. This man has a positive message, all he wants to do is defend people and spread that message further. I may be a Pagan, but I believe that his message is right. We are all equal in the eyes of our God(s), we can all be good and make it in this world without having to hurt one another, but WE have to make that choice. No one can make it for us. If someone doesn't have a clue about what Dog is about or what he's like, find an old episode of his, OR, better yet, find and pick up a copy of his book. It's a good read, and you'll gain a lot of respect for the guy who goes out and tracks down wanted men and women. AND, unlike the police and other law enforcement agencies, he gives those he tracks respect and tries to help them make the right choices. Now, before I get any hate comments, not all feds/cops/etc. are uncaring, unthinking fools. I know several who aren't and I respect them greatly. Most though, they get an ego and start believing they're better than those without a badge. Guess what, you're not, you pompous dickheads! You're the same as us, and if you're out there raping our rights, you're no better than the cons you lock up! To say the Dog is a hero of mine would be dead-on. His story has inspired me to climb to new heights in my life, and I think it can help anyone.
