There was a girl so golden
Whose burden you wouldn't know
No matter what she did
Her golden skin did show
Her father hid his daughter
Far from public eye
And yet a king did falter
Through window, he did spy
Golden hair did shimmer
From a window distant
The king wanted her
BRING HER THIS VERY INSTANT
He gathered up his men
He pondered on her name
WE SET OUT MY FRIENDS!
But tis all in vain
Evil then did stir
Cavern walls did quake
As her golden glow
Woke the Dreaded Drake
Shivers down the spine
Under it's putrid shadow
THE GOLDEN GIRL IS MINE
The Drake did bellow
The golden girl did cry
When she spied the wretched creature
WHY DID FATE CURSE ME, WHY
Twas a race to reach her
The king, he was to late
The Drake had flown away
I LEAVE HER NOT TO HER FATE
WE WILL SAVE HER THIS DAY
So on they rode to glory
Torches lit the night
On they chase their quarry
They followed a golden light
O' DRAKE, AM I OF SOME USE?
SO CURSED WITH GOLDEN GLOW•
She cried from talons loose
PLEASE DON'T LET GO...
SILLY CHILD OF MAN
I AM A DRAGON AND YOU ARE GOLD
DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?
KNOW NOT THE TALES OF OLD?
They came at last
To a mountain cave
So much they flew past
She doubted she'd be saved
The King rode some time
Far from home and bed
I WILL HAVE HER SHE IS MINE
TO HER I WILL BE WED
And so upon a winter morn
A cave they did so see
Knights looked on in scorn
Whispers buzz like bees
The king strode ahead
With no clear strategy
SIRE, YOU'LL END UP DEAD
THIS IS ALREADY A TRAGEDY
Fear held her stiff
The Drake settled in his treasure
GIRL TAKE A GIFT
He looked on with evil pleasure
As she stumbled forward
Wonder filled her eyes
Many a dressed with golden cord
She did not understand her cries
For the girl so golden
Had never felt this greed
LORD TO YOU I AM BEHOLDEN
WHY DO I HAVE THIS NEED
And then there was a ripple
And the Drake began to change
A golden man so simple
IT IS NOT SO STRANGE
YOU ARE A DRAGON,,LADY
BLESSED WITH OUR GOLDEN GLOW
Is it true maybe?
Her thoughts began to show
The Kings heinous greed
A mistaken love not pure
Why does he have this need
The knights knew the cure
ABOUND HOME WE MUST
Said Captain to King
FOR ALL THOSE WHO TRUST
IN OUR MAJESTY THE KING
YOUR PEOPLE YOU HAVE ABANDONED
YOUR THRONE YOU LEFT BEAR
FAR FARTHER THAN BARGAINED
THERE ARE SEVERAL WHO DARE
The king's rage was nigh
For he was never questioned
He thought he was on high
A symbol of strength, a bastion
IF I MAKE HER MY QUEEN
ALL THOSE WILL SEE
OH YES CAPTAIN I AM KEEN
BUT NOW I DO NOT NEED THEE!
The captain has fallen
And the King goes on
All the knights are sullen
He does not deserve his throne
They stood and watched
As he went alone
Loyalty botched
Faces made of stone
I TURN MY BACK
Said one after another
MADNESS THROUGH CRACKS
YOU KILLED OUR BROTHER
They left him there
His pride was shaken
YOUR COWARDICE LAID BARE
YOUR KING FORSAKEN
The girl stared simply
At the golden man glowing
Stepping forward gently
Curiosity showing
WE ARE THE SAME?
scared to be the fool
THIS IS NO GAME?
Surrounded by jewels
The Drake took her hand
And led her deeper
To the warmest sand
So much to teach her
Silence
Profound and deep
Violence
The children weep
Scars cross the land
The soul bares mark
On every man
March into the dark
Slowly we strangle
And inflict pain
Society wrangled
We see not the rain
In pain, we smile
In silence, we sing
Walk the long mile
As the weeping rings

I'm beginning to hate this damn thing but nothing worth achieving is easy
