So yeah, I slept in late yesterday because I just couldn't get up (funny b/c I usually have to get up at around 7 am every day). I think that it was the rain and the fact that I had a shit week. My grandmother died, went to her funeral, had papers due, tests I had to take early, my fiance's birthday, etc. You get the idea. The only consolation I have about this college business is that it will be over next May if I can keep going. Which I can, but not without suffering the stress and wasting of time...On top of all of that, I have been trying to exercise so as not to become a fat ass from the hours of sitting on my ass and my innate love for food (good food, not junk food at least).
I guess the point of this rant, or at least how it started was that I want to tell you to read The Master and Margarita by Bulgakov. It is excellent, and if you like Faust/black magic/the history of witches or the devil, you will love it. Besides that, it is funny. It is the reason that I am tired today b/c I read it until early in the morning.
That is all....
I've had, to say the least, a bizarre weekend. Besides the usual cluster-fuck of homework that seems to be flying out of the sky at me, I went to a wedding yesterday afternoon to find out that my grandmother had died that morning also. Cancer. It seems to be what we all die of in the end...At least she isn't in pain anymore. I don't know if I belive in a god, several gods, or what-have-you, but I do know that she doesn't have to struggle anymore. We spend all of our lives fighting for shit that just doesn't matter so much in the scheme of things. I mean, it's nice to have things, have people think well of you, get an education, but what do they mean if anything when you are dead? Every day I have to keep myself from becoming a hedonist and fucking, eating, drinking, doing whatever the fuck as my fancy strikes me...I can't even claim that this feeling is unique to me, but it sure does feel like a broken record sometimes. Does it not?
When do the questions get easier? I don't think that they ever will until I can become a blind conformist to some manner of Christian church, but that will NEVER happen. Been there and tried that. I know that magic works, I've tried it. I know that there are things I can't explain. I don't, however, believe that we are the most important lifeform in all of the universe. It just seems unreasonably selfish to assume something like that. What makes us masters of our own destiny? I think not. It's time that we look in the mirror and see what there really is to see. Not a whole lot. Do what you can, but realize that you are a teardrop in the sea! What you do can cause little effect to the real picture. Eh, maybe I'm just pessimistic...
Powerful. You're a scary son of a bitch. Chances
are, you'd rule over all other vampires in your
vicinity, and probably some humans as well.
You're hard to kill, because you keep your
weaknesses and strengths secret. Bathing in
blood is a regular past-time. You're ruthless
and indestructable.
What SORT of Vampire would you be?

You are a maniac
killer.
It doesn't matter who they are and what they
have or haven't done. You still want to kill
them. And for a simple reason only; it's fun.
Seeing people in pain is like ecstasy. Maybe
you have some sort of mental problems or you
are this way because of previous deep scars,
only you know. But now you are sadistic and
maybe you only like to see a special group of
people be in pain (e.g. preps). However you are
not the most social person in the bunch and
people think you are weird. That bothers you
somewhat but atleast you can entertain yourself
with daydreaming about killing them. After all,
they have no idea what's coming.

Clan Giovanni is an object of mixed mockery and
fear to most vampires. Those Embraced to the
clan are almost exclusively descendants of the
ancient Giovanni family, however far-flung they
may be from its roots, and most of them still
carry on the clan's studies of necromancery.
Their affinity for the dead is an ironic one,
with the Kindred existing in a state of undeath
themselves, but the Giovanni have turned this
connection into an art, said to be able to call
upon those who have gone beyond the veil of
death. But, perhaps in sinister homage to their
strange and twisted paths, the fangs of the
Giovanni bring to mortals not the exquisite
pleasure that debilitates most victims, but
only pure, molten agony.

The Doer In love, you are charming, and known for sweeping people off their feet. For you, sex is fun and a great way to be in the moment with someone. Overall, you are witty, generous, and flirty. However, you tend to ignore conflict and get bored with people easily. Best matches: ISFJ or ISTJ |
You are the Marquis Da Sade. Even stripped of
exaggerations, Your real life was as dramatic
and as tragic as a cautionary tale. Born to an
ancient and noble house, you were married
(against your wishes) to a middle-class heiress
for money, caused scandals with prostitutes and
with your sister-in-law, thus enraging your
mother-in-law, who had you imprisoned under a
lettre de cachet for 14 years until the
Revolution freed you. Amphibian, protean,
charming, you became a Revolutionary,
miraculously escaping the guillotine during the
Terror, only to be arrested later for
publishing your erotic novels. You spent your
final 12 years in the insane asylum at
Charenton, where you caused another scandal by
directing plays using inmates and professional
actors. You died there in 1814, virtually in
the arms of your teenage mistress.
You are a revolutionary deviant. I applaud you.

I haven't been on the site in a long time b/c I just recently got back into the country. I have been studying Russian in St. Petersburg, Russia. I am going crazy right now back in the States b/c I am trying to graduate this up-coming May. Let me just say that I should have taken Spanish or French...Russia is beautiful, though. The ballet, art, architecture. That is what I live for! The language is so beautiful, but so painful at the same time. If any of you are interested in hearing a little more about Russia, I'd be delighted to tell.
Back to studying...
