Lake Trout
One summer in Middle School
Basking on the dock,
Dave,
Patrick,
and Myself,
decided to venture out in the canoe.
Paddling contentedly, we reach the middle.
The Jumping of the,
Rainbow and gill,
was relaxing.
(it made you want to jump in and join them).
Smoke from the field above floated,
down opon us.
The battlefield of smoke hit,
Dave with the force of a bayonet.
He stood,
and coughed his enemy out.
But in doing so,
we three fell,
and joined the rainbow and gill.
Ft. Stevens
I used to think that my father was
evil.
He only had to spank me once for me to understand his rules.
But as time wears on, so do your perceptions of people.
I was blessed to have an encyclopedia,
for a father.
From bathrooms to the B.B.C.
he is king.
When I was a child, I thought I had the,
Hardest life around.
But in all honesty,
I had an easy life.
Instead of Baseball and Biking,
I was given Knowledge and History.
But a healthy mind goes much farther than a homerun
or trophy.
Fathers come in all shapes and sizes,
None of which are alike.
I have the greatest father around,
but it is a pity it book me three heart attacks to realize it.
The Unwanted
My weekends used to be adventures,
The fun seemed to never end.
It was the four of us against
the world
It was like the four of us
Were superglued toghether
And nothing could separate us.
Now that I look back,
I don't know how we did it.
Einstein, always knew the answer,
But temper never liked what Einstein said.
Schwinger always thought the girls loved him,
(if only he know the truth)
And then there was Berem,
Whose life was as twisted as a totaled car.
As hard as we tried
We never did anything wrong
But we were cool and the world wasn't,
I sure hope that is still true.
