I think I may have just shocked some poor sod over in Pakistan. Im on a contract with my cell/mobile phone and with that I get them calling me once in a while.

Today I was offered for "free" a brand new apple I-pad. His voice went from being typical of running off his lines in what he had clearly practiced and said countless times already to utter disbelief.

When I stopped him mid flow of his practiced speech and told him I was not interested.

He repeated in a high pitched voice "Your not interested? Your not wanting a free apple I-pad?" I answered calmly that I was not.

He again asked me if I was sure that I was not interested.



Nothing is ever for free and I would have to pay for it in some way or another. If it requires insurance for breakage or postage and packaging or what ever. There is always a cost. Best part was though that at the beginning of the conversation he had to tell me that it would be recorded for training purposes and such. Well wont that be a hoot when someone listens back on that one and hears me say that I was not interested multiple times.
