David Bowie was a man who knew how to reinvent himself over 4/5 decades. He had many talents in music, acting and fashion. Not once did he have to fake his true self. Characters yes and played them well. But not once do I ever remember him faking his true self and having the world believe he was to dead just to come back bigger and better.



Shame others who do fake these things can't take a leaf out of his book and follow by example.

I saw this on friends FB status today and whilst i have removed names it is still thought provoking and quite a good point. When it comes to celebrations this year spare a thought for those who live in fear and be grateful for it could have been a different if you were living in a country which is not as fortunate as we are blessed.





Warning..over sentimental status

Last night my husband worked so as midnight approached I crept into sons room and kissed him happy new year.

Then I sat in the dark window and watched the fireworks, as I sat quietly a realisation came over me.

My son slept peacefully with no fear of these rockets, the explosions did not scare him or worry his sleep. Every day we take for granted the security and safety of our lives, but there are so many six year olds in our world hiding from rockets and explosions that have nothing to do with celebration ......I just wanted to share my gratitude with you my friends
