The Four Seris: Four Seasons

Snow, gently fell down through the air; hot breath curling away from pale blue lips. The cold winter wind blowing sliver hair over shoulders and causing the tips to lick rose red cheeks, a woman stood alone under a street light; the woman’s dress of ice and snow billowed with the breeze. Ice blue eyes stared blankly at a stone building in front of her, a single light deluded by a dark curtain on the second story of the grey stone home; the woman looked to the west.

To the west, leaves blew in; the color of blood and flame. The gentle sounds of booted feet crunching over the new leaves and snow. Fiery red hair, met by olive colored skin; with dark brown eyes looking at the woman with a sly smile from slim lips. A brown suit made up of leaves, fit perfectly on the man who walked onto the scene; he runs his hand through his hair and stopped. He says with a charm that would make a woman shiver, “Wynter, hello dear sister.” Then his gaze went to the east; feeling the presence of another entering.

To the east, the snow melted. Pink, blue and purple flowers grow, soon after bare delicate feet skipped behind the growing poppies. Honey colored skin, a dress made of fresh grass; wrapped around a curvaceous frame. Colors of pale pink and green flashed in her passing. A gentle round face, perfect pink lips and light green eyes scanned the world in front of the woman. Her hair, like branches of a tree that grew upward, frayed at the ends. Green leaves grow all over the thin branches. Her voice was soft and sweet as honey, with a joyful chime, “Phal, Wynter. So rarely we are together. I hope we are to celebrate.”

The man, Phal smiled and hugged his sister; seeing her once a year was never enough. “Spreing, it is good to see your beauty once again.” The honey colored cheeks, turned slightly red at the comment made by her sibling, pushing him playfully. “Oh stop it brother. You’re embarrassing me.” Then all of their attentions, turned to the south.

To the south, the snow melted and the air grew warm. Sounds of running feet over bare earth thundered through the still night. Strong muscular legs carried a well toned body; swathed in golden furs that wrapped around the body. Long sun kissed hair flowed behind a man of power. He came to a halt, a small beard of seemingly gold hair along his jaw and wrapped around his lips. A powerful voice greeted the others. “Spreing, Phal and Wynter, it is good to see your well.”

Wynter’s voice was cold, her arms now crossed over her chest; her blue tinted skin fit perfectly with the pout upon her beautiful face. “Symmer; the last as always.” Symmer laughed a thundering chuckle, followed by the wispy laugh of Phal and the giggling of Spreing. “Of course, unlike you my dear Ice Queen, I have plenty of things I’d rather being doing then standing here and squabbling with you.”

Their gazes turn to the old stone building, as light spilled out from the door, beckoning them to enter. One by one, they went into the glowing entrance in silence. Stepping into a garden, where on one side; life grew and flourished, the other, decayed and dead. Two people sat at a table, one on each side; a being that wore all black, a hood over his face and shadows so deep no light could reveal the face beneath. A figure in all white sat across from him, though she was not hidden by a cowl as her companion. No beauty compared to the woman they looked at. All four of the beings bowed deeply, Symmer lifted his head and spoke with a smile. “Mother, Father. How do you fare?” The rest sat up, and the woman spoke with a voice that drifted on the wind like cobwebs. “Your Father and I are well. Yourselves?” Symmer, Phal, Spreing and Wynter said well at once. The man spoke, his voice dark and twisted; his hand reaches out for the woman’s beside him. “Then you have a duty to perform”
