The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Today we went to big surf. Dan and I had a very good time. No kids, no fellow friends, just him and I. We got a quick burger and sodas, then we hit the wave pool! It was my very first time going to a water park and I was excited cause I've been swimming for the first time alone in my little pool of the apt complex. "I've trained for this!" I said to Dan.



When we got to the wave pool there were so many people we bumped into them and they bumped into us. The first few times we stayed in the shallower end, and I was ok. The next few times were in the deeper end. I forgot that I was wearing a big clip thingy for my hair though. A big wave came and I saw a big guy on a raft coming right for me. Dan held my hand, keeping us together. He said he went right over me. I didn't feel him but my head got bumped so hard the teeth of the comb grinded into the top of my head. Dan pulled me up from the water, making sure I was ok. I remember coughing up water, and what remained of my comb was on the side of my head, desperately holding on. I got out and threw it away, rubbing my head.



The next few waves weren't so bad, but I was getting a little nervous about the big waves, little ones were ok, but not the big ones. The second wave came, we weren't holding hands, and a little girls head bumped right into mine. I'm not sure how long I was under that one, but I remember in my head saying "Hold your breathe longer." Dan pulled me out yet again, and I coughed up more tub water. He was and is my guardian angel, my dark prince.



After having enough, and shaking we agreed to split for a bit. He played in the pool with the big kids and I sought out the little tube slides, the smallest in the park.



It was fun the first one. Went down, yelled "weeee" all the way down. Yup I"m a dork. Landed safely in the shallow water, had fun. Grabbed the tube and ran up for a second time. This time I wanted to try the other one, it's darker and faster. Cool. It was definatly darker and faster, I closed my eyes during almost the whole thing. That was a bad idea! Before I knew it my tube wasn't under my bottom anymore and I was underwater, yet again. No one told me this pool was deeper, if it's not than I'm more of a wimp than I think. I'm sure it's deeper. I went to stand up and couldn't find the floor. Before I knew it, in a panic, the life guard grabbed me pulling me up. When I opened my eyes the same lifeguard was waving for the top of the slide to stop the runners for a sec.



What I was most disappoined in was it wasnt' Dans hand pulling me up. I don't know how to describe it. Well I left my raft and nearly cried from being so scared. Instead of being a big baby, I sat on the edge of the wave pool, with the moms and enjoyed the waves coming up around my butt lifting me up and going back out. Had plenty of time waiting for my beloved.



When he was walking out of the water coming towards me I swear I lost my breathe. He was glorious, like a water nymph coming out of the sea. I don't think it will matter how many years we are together he will always mesmerize me, yet I don't think he knows just how he effects me.



Well to make a long story short, a storm started, we met and got our things together and came home. It was a lot of fun, but I'm not really ready to go back there this year again. I'm not ready, I don't think. I asked Dan if I were a big baby back there he was kind in his answer. "No, that was a normal reaction to nearly drowning."
