"Humans are so full of excuses. They don’t like to admit what they lack. They’ll be dying of lung cancer, have a hole ripped into their throat for them to breath and insist, as they take another puff, how much they really like smoking. Four heart-attacks later and requiring a forklift to move their bed should they ever want to leave their living room, they’ll persist how much shear joy they get from eating.
Of course – somewhere deep down inside – they know they are lying (much more effectively to themselves than to anyone else). They know that they don’t enjoy their vices so much. They know that if all it took was a mere whim, they would have quit their vices long before their friends, family, and health-care physicians started to preach at them. They lack not for want, but for Will."
