I just read our esteemed CM's Attaboy post in his journal post from March 9. All Mono members should take a peek.



I have to admit, I got kinda teary-eyed. He's so right (par usual). The coven grew leaps and bounds..although not in rankings..hahaha. But the belief when we built Mono has really stayed steady. Our members are active and WANT to be there! Of the 65 current members, I can honestly say that I speak with more than half of them on IM and most of them in the forum. Anyone who peeks in and checks out our member list can see how active most people are inside the coven...not just on VR.



It's amazing to me that a simple idea: culling the incompetent...has brought together such a diverse group of people and kept them together as a coven SHOULD be. Diverse backgrounds, beliefs, lives...yet everyone is supportive and loyal. The members rush in to greet the newbies...and those that don't participate?? We cull. There's no need to hold on to members to suck up their favor, status, etc. This really doesn't benefit the coven in reality. In reality, the friendship and humour abundant in the coven strengthens our coven.



For March Pride, I have to say I'm exceedingly proud of Monomacy. And I'm even MORE proud of my fellow Monomacists.

So as anyone who knows me, well...KNOWS....I am an EXTREMELY proud ACM of the Coven of Monomacy. Monomacy is a duel to the death ritual. The coven was based on the principles that not only does Monomacy force us to choose our battles on VR and everywhere else wisely....but the second principle was that this ritual also culled the incompetent from our midsts.



And along comes the superhero, idiotferatu. I find it hysterical that someone who says that the idiots on VR should be outed is actually RAGGED on. I took no offense to the profile or task at hand whatsoever, secure in the fact that I'm NOT an idiot :)



We have teenyboppers demanding I fuck off if I don't like their profiles, people claiming to be otherworldly creatures who, after living 400 yrs, still can't spell simple words and people who open private msgs asking if I'll get naked on webcam for them.



The ruckus she's caused shows me just how much a monomacistic cull is necessary...laugh.



I'm not sure if ratings play a part in this...but then again...what is a 1 from a newer member to someone who has had over 600 ratings already? I've been downrated (under a 3) from people who have no more in their profile than "Wanna know? Just ask!"



As to her secret identity?? I just call her Clarice Kent. You keep on keeping on, FF :)

Yes, it goes on and on, my friends.



It's almost midnight and I can't sleep. Bromazepam isn't helping. I've been separated from my husband since November 2007. Legal issues, immigration issues, trust issues...the list goes on and on.



I thought things had changed last fall. I was finally accepting that the mess that had been created over the past few years would make it physically impossible to ever straighten shit out enough to reconcile. I started to date. Then? He wanted me back, needed me back..had to have me back. I weighed everything carefully and agreed. Then? Legally..he couldn't enter Canada on a driving charge that was over a year old. He can't drive..has no car..and couldn't enter the country if he did. I left for Africa with my 8 yr olds in Michigan and out of school for 2 of the 5 weeks I was gone. The legal shit wasn't taken care of.



I came home after 5 weeks and he was here..in our home..with our children. That lasted all of 3 days..then back to Michigan for Court (which was cancelled). I got him back over again a week later. That lasted a week...now he's back in the States again...for Court tomorrow.



Things are strange with him back. We seem to be at each other over the smallest things. He seems unhappy to be here...unhappy to not be living the quiet, single life he's had for a year and a half.



The stressors just keep coming. Problems at school with one of my 8 yr old twins led to social services being called and one thing led to another until it appeared that nothing was going to work out. They closed the case already because it was...well...stupid. But..my son now needs to go to a Children's Center for diagnosis of what they think may be ADHD...the panacea for the public who don't want to deal with their kid's behaviour.



I'm just not sure he really loves me anymore. Not the way he should at least. I mean..I'm the mother of his children. He has no place to go but here. If there hadn't been that push....he'd still be living in the States regardless of what was going on over here. I feel like I'm pushing him into doing something he really isn't ready for. But if not now? When?



I probably shouldn't leave this as public. I'm just so sad and feel lonely that he's gone again :(
