A KNIGHTS TALE

My name is Thomas Calstone and I am a knight to King Richard and fought alongside him in the Holy War of 1191. It was after the battle that I was sent for and asked to transport a prisoner to a mountain monastery where she would no doubt be put to death by the church, I asked what were her crimes and was told that she was not only a witch but also a Demon and a Vampire and to be very careful and not allow her out of the prison cart she was in, I was given three other knights a priest and a young squire as escorts to take the prisoner on a long and arduous journey to a monastery some 100 miles away, the prison wagon was bought in covered in a large black drape the head jailer handed me the keys and said never to let her out as she was very dangerous, he said if you do have to let her out then keep her on the collar and straight pole.

We set off on our journey and it wasn’t long before i was curious to see what she was like, however I contained my curiosity until we stopped to camp while the squire was preparing a meal I decided to ask her if she needed food I lifted the corner of the drape and was amazed to see a very striking and beautiful woman she looked at me and smiled a captivating smile with even white teeth, she spoke in a soft but husky voice and said they have made a terrible mistake as she wasn’t what they said, however I wasn’t about to be caught off guard by her beauty and charm and asked her if she would like food she declined and just asked for some wine.

It was around 2am I heard a noise that roused me from sleep I listened and the noise seemed to come from the wagon I crept closer and listened there was a strange sound coming from inside that cage, I lifted a edge and tried to look in but could see nothing so I stood up and lifted the drape I was not expecting what I saw, instead of the beautiful woman I saw a creature with fangs and red eyes I gasped and she looked at me with a look that said I want to kill you, I dropped the drape and jumped back my heart pounding with fear, I tried to sleep but every time I closed my eyes I saw that creature.

The next morning I approached the wagon and lifted the drape once again the beautiful woman was there she smiled and said good morning, I looked at her and said you lied to me, she looked at me with a quizzical look and said how did I lie to you, I said to her you said you wasn’t what they said but last night what I saw wasn’t you but a terrible demon, she looked sad and said that she had been cursed by a witch and just needed someone to break the spell, I asked how this spell would be broken and she said i just need you to let me out of her and kiss me it will break the spell if im kissed by a pure and honest man, I laughed and said im not stupid woman I will not fall for your cunning tricks I dropped the drape and ate the meal the squire had prepared. It was a little after 6am when we set off on our journey, we had been travelling for a couple of hours when I became aware of the fact we were being followed I looked around and in the trees I saw shadows getting closer, all of a sudden a pack of wolves sprang out and charged at us we drew our swords and attempted to fight them off, there seemed to be no end to them as they continued to attack, eventually the attack subsided and on looking round I saw the priest laying on the ground with blood pouring from a terrible wound I bent down to check his injury but it was too late he was already dead we buried him and I heard a soft chuckle come from the cage, this demon had summoned those wolves of that I was sure we continued on for the rest of the day until we made camp late in the afternoon.

After our meal I was very tired from lack of sleep from the night before and went straight to sleep. The next morning I awoke to find the fire out and nothing being prepared I looked around but could see no sign of the young squire; I woke up my other companions I told them of the squire’s disappearance we looked around but he just seemed to have vanished I looked at the wagon and thought I should look I lifted the drape and saw the naked body of the young squire pressed against the bars dead and drained of blood she looked at me and said he was tasty and laughed, we lifted him down and buried another of our party.

The day passed without to much incident except she continued to entice my companions and tried to seduce them, that night I was very restless and noises kept making me wake, I suddenly heard a noise and saw one of my companions kissing her though the bars I jumped up but was to late as i saw blood gushing from his throat as she drank him dry I stood rooted to the spot and screamed my other two companions woke and saw his body and mounted their horses and left me she smiled and said it is you I want imagine the life we could have together, just one kiss the curse lifted and you and me could be together, I dropped the drape and set off once again wishing that this journey was over.

Several hours passed and I needed to stop for refreshment as I sat eating some bread I heard a soft voice calling me, I approached the wagon and lifted the drape I gasped as I looked upon her she was naked and had the most perfect body she smiled and said this is all yours for just one kiss, I looked at her unable to speak and said you would not just kiss me you would rip out my throat like you did to my friend, she smiled again and said not you I want you and me to be together, I felt her gaze becoming hypnotic and before i knew what I had done the cage was unlocked I was also naked and making passionate love to her on the forest floor, she stroked my face as we kissed and my hands touched her exquisite body, I felt a sharp pain in my neck and passed out I awoke to find her sitting looking at me she had lit a fire and was still naked she smiled and kissed me softly we are now together my love for all time, it was then i became aware that she had made me a creature like her, however I have no regrets its now 2012 and we are still together her body excites me as it did then and we search for victims together. Do I get bored never.
